Yesterday was so exciting because…

:star4 * :happy I GOT THE INTERNSHIP IN JAPAN!!! :happy * :star4

So I am now officially going to be spending fall semester interning as an ALT with Interac somewhere in Japan! I’m not sure where I’ll be placed yet but I’m sure I’ll get enough options to be able to pick somewhere great! I may decide to stay for spring semester as well, but we’ll see! Another option I might take advantage of is the choice to spend part of my internship living with a Japanese host family :tea I think I would really like to do that!

Just in case any of you reading this are currently in college/university (or will be soon) and are interested in the program, or just generally curious, I’ll outline the process for it!

:arrow First~ Filled out the application and resume on their website and wrote an essay.

:arrow Second~ Passed the initial screening and was selected for a phone interview. The phone interview went well and so they decided to invite me to a seminar!

:arrow Third~ Attended one of the few seminars they host in the US. This was the hardest part I think! It’s the last step before they decide whether they want to hire you or not and so you’re really put to the test!

At my seminar location there were only two other people who had made it to this step in the process. I arrived to the location in smart business attire (blazer, suit pants, heels, etc) and first off there was a presentation on the company. Then we had to take grammar and personality tests. After that we were recorded while giving the mock teaching presentation we had prepared. Mine lasted about 6-8 minutes and I basically had to pretend like I was teaching English to students.

I started off with an introduction and then had to read aloud from a script to demonstrate my English. After that I did an activity teaching colors and an activity teaching different words. After the presentation is all finished they interview you for about an hour and then comes the wait! Luckily I only had to wait about a week and a half before they let me know yesterday :star

So besides that I am also excited about my summer camp job, which is coming up soon! I’m also visiting a friend in San Francisco after my summer classes get out on June 10th! Definitely going to be doing some sight seeing and shopping there :h

To keep this entry from being a complete wall of text, and to celebrate a little, I’m going to do a giveaway today! First to comment will win the items pictured above ♥ Please feel free to comment even if this is your first time visiting!

This weekend we drove down to Vegas to visit family. Unfortunately the hotel didn’t offer wireless internet and so I was offline for a few days. Now that I’m back I’ve updated the dollmaker with some new dress up pieces.

The prints are pixeled versions of Angelic Pretty’s Dreamy Doll House print. I plan on doing Milky Chan next ♥ I’ll also be adding a bunch of new hairstyles soon.

My sister got married last week, on the 22nd, and it was gorgeous. They decided to have it outside in the snow.

The whole event was beautiful, and also very very cold!

My Christmas present to myself arrived in time and I love it! I haven’t taken any photos of it yet, but here’s a stock photo.

I ended up getting an extra $40.00 off it too since one of the charms came with some jewels broken off. I easily glued them back on so overall it worked out very well.

I’m kind of sad that the holidays are over now. I love getting excited for Christmas and all the other holidays in the last few months of the year. This was my poupee during Christmas.

At least there’s still new years!
