This is a day late, but I had to pack yesterday and fell asleep shortly after that so I couldn’t get around to posting until just now
Anyways! I’m now in Yonago, which seems to be a pretty nice place so far, but I wouldn’t really know since all I’ve done is wander around to find the nearest conbini and then retreat back to my hotel
It’s already dark here though and training was tough today so I might just explore a bit tomorrow morning if I have time.
At least I was able to visit pretty much every store I wanted to while I was in the Tokyo area (Angelic Pretty, SWIMMER, chocoholic, Paris Kids, Chiara, Tralala, Liz Lisa, Hangry and Angry, Moi-Meme-Moitie, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, ACDC, Emily Temple Cute, SBY Happy Room, etc etc). Actually the Shinjuku Angelic Pretty was having a sale and so I ended up getting a really cute wallet/pass case and ring that were each 50% off.

The ring was only about $10!

And the pass case/wallet was roughly $20 (I got the one in black)~
I really need to get my camera so I can take proper photos of all of the cute things I’ve bought. I really did buy quite a few things while I was in the Tokyo area
I do have some photos of Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya and a few other areas though, but they were taken on my iPhone so they aren’t the best quality unfortunately
I hope you enjoy them anyways though~

Descending into much cuteness~
I’ll stop there since this is turning into a photobomb, but I’ll post the remaining photos and my outfit snaps for those days in my next entry. Also I’ll be resuming my crafting as soon as I get settled in Shinjo so look out for some new jewelry soon!
I have officially made it to Japan!! Currently I’m staying in Iidabashi but I’ve already visited Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku. Can I just take a moment to say that visiting my favorite stores in person was an amazing experience
After 109 I felt my life was complete
Okay, not really, but it’s just amazing to be here! I actually really really love Tokyo so far – I’ve heard that it’s dirty and crowded but to be honest I think it’s a beautiful city and it feels safer than American cities.
Unfortunately I’m only here until Thursday and then I’m flying to the more south western part of Japan, but I’m excited to start working. The kids will be adorable I’m sure! I’ll write about my trip to Shinjuku before I start down that path though~

Myself and a few other interns decided to make Shinjuku our first trip since we needed to visit Kinokuniya and pick up some books. We took the line there and stepped into a camera store for a bit to pick up a disposable camera (I left my digital at home, really disappointed about that!). Then we wandered over in the direction of Kinokuniya, but first I noticed a building with a person dressed up in a Hangry and Angry costume outside so I decided to check it out. That ended up being a very good idea because there was a Liz Lisa store inside as well as a SWIMMER/chocoholic shop.
I actually wandered into the SWIMMER store thinking it was a patisserie because they have an assortment of extremely adorable sweets outside, but was so excited when I found out it was an actual SWIMMER store
I bought a phone charm, a picture frame and nail clippers (random, I know). I’ll have to post photos later! I actually don’t have any digital photos from that day since I didn’t even think to use my iPhone camera until the next day. To be fair we didn’t spend that much time in Shinjuku anyways since I didn’t know where anything was and I spent quite a bit of time in just that one shopping building
I have tons of photos from Shibuya and Harajuku though so look out for those in tomorrow’s entry!
Yesterday was so exciting because…

I GOT THE INTERNSHIP IN JAPAN!!!
*

So I am now officially going to be spending fall semester interning as an ALT with Interac somewhere in Japan! I’m not sure where I’ll be placed yet but I’m sure I’ll get enough options to be able to pick somewhere great! I may decide to stay for spring semester as well, but we’ll see! Another option I might take advantage of is the choice to spend part of my internship living with a Japanese host family
I think I would really like to do that!
Just in case any of you reading this are currently in college/university (or will be soon) and are interested in the program, or just generally curious, I’ll outline the process for it!
First~ Filled out the application and resume on their website and wrote an essay.
Second~ Passed the initial screening and was selected for a phone interview. The phone interview went well and so they decided to invite me to a seminar!
Third~ Attended one of the few seminars they host in the US. This was the hardest part I think! It’s the last step before they decide whether they want to hire you or not and so you’re really put to the test!
At my seminar location there were only two other people who had made it to this step in the process. I arrived to the location in smart business attire (blazer, suit pants, heels, etc) and first off there was a presentation on the company. Then we had to take grammar and personality tests. After that we were recorded while giving the mock teaching presentation we had prepared. Mine lasted about 6-8 minutes and I basically had to pretend like I was teaching English to students.
I started off with an introduction and then had to read aloud from a script to demonstrate my English. After that I did an activity teaching colors and an activity teaching different words. After the presentation is all finished they interview you for about an hour and then comes the wait! Luckily I only had to wait about a week and a half before they let me know yesterday
So besides that I am also excited about my summer camp job, which is coming up soon! I’m also visiting a friend in San Francisco after my summer classes get out on June 10th! Definitely going to be doing some sight seeing and shopping there

To keep this entry from being a complete wall of text, and to celebrate a little, I’m going to do a giveaway today! First to comment will win the items pictured above ♥ Please feel free to comment even if this is your first time visiting!

The pixel eggs have hatched today! You may notice that the egg design had a lot of influence over the hatchling~

If your egg hasn’t changed, refresh the page and it should show up
The hatched pixels will be available for today only! Tomorrow the pixel eggs page will be removed from the site so make sure to get yours now

I received my seminar information from Interac the other day and I’ve read over it probably a dozen times by now – I’m so excited for it (and there is a ton of information to go over)! I’m really hoping I’ll be able to land a job interning as an ALT this fall. The seminar is on May 1st and seems pretty intense. I’ll have to attend an information session and take a grammar and personality test, among other things. The part I’m most concerned about is the demonstration lesson
I guess it consists of putting together a mock lesson of up to six minutes long and presenting it to a ‘class’ while being recorded. The tape then gets sent on to potential employers in Japan. Sooo we’ll see how well I do with that! I think I’ll just need to practice a lot
I have a couple more new Angelic Pretty images and dividers today!

I want to start adding more to the dollmaker soon – I haven’t really updated it in awhile. College has been busy lately though now that the year is coming to an end
I had a math exam yesterday that was absolutely awful, math is my worst subject for sure. I found out I was accepted to the college I want to transfer to though, so I’ve just been setting that up in case the Japan internship doesn’t happen this fall. I have to plan for either outcome, but I’m really hoping I get the internship and spend fall semester in Japan
Also I need to book a plane ticket for this summer so I can fly to the summer camp I’ll be working at from June-August. There’s so much going on
I received my Liz Lisa spring/summer denim skirt in the mail yesterday though and that cheered me up. It’s so cute!
I can’t wait to coordinate it, I think it can go with pretty much anything really.

I feel like now I have enough of the ‘essential’ pieces from Liz Lisa that I can just add American brands into the mix but still have a sort of Liz Lisa look. I mean I’d love to have the whole spring/summer collection but that is definitely not possible
I went shopping today despite the horrible weather outside. I mean wind and snow on the first day of spring break
But I was glad I went because all the new spring looks are finally in stores! I love that the western look hasn’t been limited to Japan – it’s definitely influencing the spring styles here too
I was going to wait to buy anything until I got back home, but I tried on this dress/shirt at Vanity and had to buy it!
![]() |
The tank top underneath came with it so I think it was a pretty good deal for only about $30.00~ I plan on layering it with the Sechuna skirt in the photo since it’s one of those tops that is in between being a shirt and a dress
There are lots more things I want to get from American Eagle and Vanity now that I’ve seen it all. During the winter I only really shopped at Buckle but for spring and summer I think I like those brands more. Actually I haven’t shopped at Vanity for years but they have some really cute pieces this spring so I can see a lot of outfits coming from there
I definitely want to get a denim overshirt, wide leather belt, and some new tank tops.
I made a custom carousel ring for one of my friends yesterday – it turned out really cute!
I really like the color combo of pink x black actually.

Last thing, I have some Liz Lisa and Tralala items for sale~

Brand new Liz Lisa necklace + Tralala sweets cutsew back up for sale
I’m probably going to be doing another giveaway tomorrow so watch out for that
I forgot how expensive shipping from Japan can be when you buy boots. Guess how much it will cost me.
$88.00
But I want my boots so I’m forking it over. Was planning on buying from MAC when I got home but I don’t see that happening now. At least there’s only one more day until spring break
I only have math tomorrow though so it won’t be a long day at all. I kind of already feel like I’m on break actually, which is probably why I crafted a bit today
I’m going to be making some deco’d mini hats soon since I was commissioned to make a couple, so I’ve been getting the materials and clay pieces together for them. If they turn out especially cute I might start making some for my shop
I’m getting really bored of my fall clothes, but I liked my outfit today so here’s a snap of it~
![]() |
I think I need to clean my mirror
It’s probably hard to tell, but the boots have a pretty high heel. One of my new years resolutions was to learn to walk in heels and these boots were the first heels I learned to walk in! I really love to wear heels now – they make almost any outfit look classier

I finished the website layout for my sister and her husband yesterday and I guess it turned out okay? They like it a lot so I guess that’s all that matters
It’s much different than my usual style since their business is going to be a sort of club with a cafe and gaming so of course my usual stuff wouldn’t fly haha Anyways when the website is all done I’ll post a link to it so you all can check it out!
Do you ever just daydream about the things you’d buy if you had more money? I’m sure most of you do
Well, I made a little list:
1. Liz Lisa denim skirt in light blue & floral necklace in white
2. MAC lashes & lipglass & mascara
3. Spring dresses
It’s a bit shorter than I expected so maybe I’ll be able to afford it all sometime soon
What are some of the things on your wishlist?
I just put up a new layout
It’s much more simple than the older one but I like it~ I haven’t ever really added texture to any of my images but for this layout I decided to add a burlap texture to the header’s background and I love how it turned out! I’ll definitely be using textures for future projects.
Now that this layout is done I need to get started on a layout for my sister and her husband! They’re starting a business and so I offered to do the webdesigning for them. I guess we’ll see how well I can pull off a more ‘professional’ style of design

Only one more week until spring break
I’m ridiculously excited for the break. I haven’t been home since mid January, which doesn’t sound like a long time, but it feels like it’s been forever. I think I got too used to all the breaks during November and December. And I just need a break from college after all the midterms. This next week is going to drag by I just know it.
Note to self: before going home get all papers in order for internship in Japan! I want to get all the documents in asap!
Before I go, I have a special offer for readers!
The iPhone case I listed at $39.00 yesterday is now marked down to $29.00 in the shop~

So I had the phone interview for the teaching internship in Japan today, and it went really well! Usually you have to wait a few weeks before being notified whether you’ve passed the interview or not, but it went so well that the interviewer invited me to a seminar on the spot! Luckily the seminar is really really close so I won’t have to travel far. I’m really excited because, in the email, they stated that if you get a seminar invite you have a good chance of being hired. It probably helped that I’ve traveled a lot and have experience working with children in other countries. But I don’t want to get my hopes up too much because it’s not a definite thing. Still completely made my day though!
Click the image above to check them out!
That’s about all for today, I promise I’ll have a substantial blog entry up one of these days haha
More spring purchases~

Loveee this shirt, the print is adorable!

I’ve been admiring this necklace for awhile, and now it’s on sale. Even though it was sold during winter I think it will work well for spring!

This necklace was also on sale. I might take the ribbon off of it since I just wanted some strings of white pearls.
Next I’ll be getting a couple Liz Lisa onepieces and then I’ll call it quits for awhile haha.

I got some really exciting news today! I applied for an English teaching internship in Japan earlier last month and today I found out that I passed their resume process and qualify for a phone interview! I found out about the internship through my university, and it turns out they pay for a fully furnished apartment, internet access, and round-trip airfare. Plus the pay is about 90,000yen a month. Honestly just the experience would be amazing enough though. My appointment is set for Thursday, wish me luck!!
Is anyone else loving the new Valentine’s items on poupee?

The limited kitten items are my favorite so far. I bought two, in brown and purple! I probably would have bought pink too, but it sold out too quickly. There are also a lot of cute items in the jewel area but all my money is currently going towards my wardrobe.
