:ribn I’m still alive!! :ribn

I’ve been without internet or phone service while working at camp and so this blog will have to be on hiatus until I leave for Japan in August. I’ve found out I’ll be in Shinjo in the Okayama prefecture though so I’m excited! :star Expect a ton of updates when I’m there!

Yesterday was so exciting because…

:star4 * :happy I GOT THE INTERNSHIP IN JAPAN!!! :happy * :star4

So I am now officially going to be spending fall semester interning as an ALT with Interac somewhere in Japan! I’m not sure where I’ll be placed yet but I’m sure I’ll get enough options to be able to pick somewhere great! I may decide to stay for spring semester as well, but we’ll see! Another option I might take advantage of is the choice to spend part of my internship living with a Japanese host family :tea I think I would really like to do that!

Just in case any of you reading this are currently in college/university (or will be soon) and are interested in the program, or just generally curious, I’ll outline the process for it!

:arrow First~ Filled out the application and resume on their website and wrote an essay.

:arrow Second~ Passed the initial screening and was selected for a phone interview. The phone interview went well and so they decided to invite me to a seminar!

:arrow Third~ Attended one of the few seminars they host in the US. This was the hardest part I think! It’s the last step before they decide whether they want to hire you or not and so you’re really put to the test!

At my seminar location there were only two other people who had made it to this step in the process. I arrived to the location in smart business attire (blazer, suit pants, heels, etc) and first off there was a presentation on the company. Then we had to take grammar and personality tests. After that we were recorded while giving the mock teaching presentation we had prepared. Mine lasted about 6-8 minutes and I basically had to pretend like I was teaching English to students.

I started off with an introduction and then had to read aloud from a script to demonstrate my English. After that I did an activity teaching colors and an activity teaching different words. After the presentation is all finished they interview you for about an hour and then comes the wait! Luckily I only had to wait about a week and a half before they let me know yesterday :star

So besides that I am also excited about my summer camp job, which is coming up soon! I’m also visiting a friend in San Francisco after my summer classes get out on June 10th! Definitely going to be doing some sight seeing and shopping there :h

To keep this entry from being a complete wall of text, and to celebrate a little, I’m going to do a giveaway today! First to comment will win the items pictured above ♥ Please feel free to comment even if this is your first time visiting!

NEW BOOTS~~~ :!!

And only $20.00 too! I put together an outfit for them today :h3

Kind of crappy lighting in my new apartment :brella Probably doesn’t help that it’s always so cloudy outside! I can’t wait for the weather to start reflecting the season.

So I’ve been doing some crafting again recently! With even more sculpting! These new pieces were heavily influenced by crafts I see for sale on mbok and such :wand

I’ll probably put them up for sale either later today or tomorrow. There aren’t so many because I wanted to put little details into each of them ♥

I almost forgot, I want to review a webshop I bought from recently! In addition to my usual MAC lashes, I’ve been looking for some cheaper lashes for days when I don’t feel like breaking out my #7’s. So I checked around and finally found out about Jcosme. At first I was a little scared to order from them since they don’t accept Paypal and I hadn’t really heard any reviews. But I decided to just go for it and order a bunch of the “Ethnic Beauty” style lashes. They also have “Gyaru Fashion” lashes that are cute and dramatic!

So those are mine above :arr3 I ordered way too many though so I might sell off a few pairs! I loved ordering from Jcosme though, and they even sent me a bunch of cute nail stickers with my lash order, it was so sweet and unexpected!

Made another MAC order recently as well since I didn’t end up visiting their counter at Nordstrom when I was visiting home. And now that I’m back and taking summer courses (including yoga! but more about that later!) I won’t get the chance for awhile. I decided to order some eyeshadows in Woodwinked and Shroom and more #7 lashes. I seriously love #7’s :bear

Okay this entry is getting long but I’ll update about progress on my Japan internship and more later! :bye

It’s been so long since my last update! With the exception of my private post of course, but that one was angsty :bad And password locked! So really it was no good to anyone.

Recently I moved into my first apartment though! And I have my first very own bathroom! :clap

It’s a lot bigger than my dorm room and much easier to live in! Plus my roommates have been nice so far :star So! Here is my new room~

Still a little bare on the walls! I’ll fix that soon though :can

It’s pretty spacious, I wish it came with a desk though! For now I just use my laptop on my bed and keep my printer and books on the chest of drawers.

The closet gets a thumbs up from me – wayyy more room for my shoes and clothes in this one! Five points to anyone who can guess what show I was watching :bear2

And the bathroom! I never thought I’d be so excited about a bathroom but apparently having one all to myself makes me extremely pleased. I love all the counter space :h

I really have so many hair and face products, trust me that isn’t even the half of it! :oni Here is my newest addition~

The Shiseido pureness facial care set with cleanser, toner and lotion. I also invested in the face scrubbing brush!

Hopefully the set works well since it was a little pricey :mam I think Shiseido is more simple than other more chemical facial washes so it should turn out well.

That’s all for now, I have so much to catch up on with my blogs though so look for more entries very soon!

Has it really been two weeks since my last update :!? I guess I’ve been busier than usual lately! That tends to happen towards the end of the year/semester. I’m sure that when the year ends I’ll be back to updating regularly :lobe The seminar for my possible internship in Japan is coming up fast! It’s on May first. I need to make sure I get all my documents in before then. Also need to get a new iPhone case as I lost my Rilakkuma one recently when I dropped my phone at a dance :brella I’m thinking of replacing it since the Rilakkuma cases are now available on eBay, or I might get this cute Juicy Couture one~

For now my iPhone doesn’t have a case, but considering that I could have lost the phone as well it makes me happy to at least still have my iPhone :dan

There’s currently a Beauty Insider 15% off your entire order sale going on at Sephora for anyone who didn’t already know about it! :wand The promo code for it is MADNESS and it ends tomorrow. I was seriously considering some of the cute new tokidoki collab items Sephora has up for sale but decided not to buy.

I finally did a bit of crafting over the weekend and here are the results!

I haven’t been feeling very creative lately but it was nice to do some work with clay after not having made anything for awhile. I have most of the rings above for sale as well as some Liz Lisa items and more at the link below :arr2

Sale time! Lots of handmade + Liz Lisa skirt and necklace ♥

Happy Easter everyone!!

The pixel eggs have hatched today! You may notice that the egg design had a lot of influence over the hatchling~

If your egg hasn’t changed, refresh the page and it should show up :bun The hatched pixels will be available for today only! Tomorrow the pixel eggs page will be removed from the site so make sure to get yours now :dou

I received my seminar information from Interac the other day and I’ve read over it probably a dozen times by now – I’m so excited for it (and there is a ton of information to go over)! I’m really hoping I’ll be able to land a job interning as an ALT this fall. The seminar is on May 1st and seems pretty intense. I’ll have to attend an information session and take a grammar and personality test, among other things. The part I’m most concerned about is the demonstration lesson :mam I guess it consists of putting together a mock lesson of up to six minutes long and presenting it to a ‘class’ while being recorded. The tape then gets sent on to potential employers in Japan. Sooo we’ll see how well I do with that! I think I’ll just need to practice a lot :wand

I have a couple more new Angelic Pretty images and dividers today!

I want to start adding more to the dollmaker soon – I haven’t really updated it in awhile. College has been busy lately though now that the year is coming to an end :oni I had a math exam yesterday that was absolutely awful, math is my worst subject for sure. I found out I was accepted to the college I want to transfer to though, so I’ve just been setting that up in case the Japan internship doesn’t happen this fall. I have to plan for either outcome, but I’m really hoping I get the internship and spend fall semester in Japan :lobe Also I need to book a plane ticket for this summer so I can fly to the summer camp I’ll be working at from June-August. There’s so much going on :!

I received my Liz Lisa spring/summer denim skirt in the mail yesterday though and that cheered me up. It’s so cute! :bun I can’t wait to coordinate it, I think it can go with pretty much anything really.

I feel like now I have enough of the ‘essential’ pieces from Liz Lisa that I can just add American brands into the mix but still have a sort of Liz Lisa look. I mean I’d love to have the whole spring/summer collection but that is definitely not possible :pud

Sorry for the huge gap in updates! I came down with a cold on Wednesday and have been feeling under the weather since then :brella Yesterday was really nice outside though so I went shopping again and picked up some really cute tops from American Eagle and a skirt from Vanity :star4

Also got a plain brown tee from TJ Maxx – I’ll probably go back and get more in different colors since they are great for layering and only about $6.00 – and some brown heels as well :shoe I’m wearing the tee in the photo below~

Apparently Angelic Pretty deco’d a car? Has anyone seen this? I think it looks really cute, wish there were closeups of it!

I noticed I haven’t been adding much along the lines of graphics lately so last night I worked on getting some new Angelic Pretty images up :wand

As well as some new backgrounds and gal style images.

http://www.mirukuma.com/

That’s it for today, I need to get some last minute homework done now!! :oni

Another giveaway today! This time it’s a small deco kit with some stickers, ribbons, rhinestones and pearls. As usual, first to comment wins the giveaway so even if you’re a new visitor please comment to win! :prsnt

One of the few items from my Celga order I decided to keep was the skirt below :arr2 The rest just didn’t fit the way I’d hoped so I had to sell them off :brella

I really like this skirt though! And there are shorts built in underneath so it doesn’t feel strange to wear something so short :lobe

If you’re wondering what’s in my pocket, it’s my amigurumi! I love handmade amigurumi – wish I could make them myself! Unfortunately anything to do with sewing just isn’t for me. I’ll stick with clay :mam

As for an outfit rundown, the top is from Sechuna, skirt and boots are from Liz Lisa (expect to see these boots a lot, I’m currently pretty obsessed with them :bear ) and the amigurumi is from an Etsy seller.

I’m thinking about getting my hair done soon, I haven’t dyed it in a really long time! I’d like to either get highlights or lowlights, or maybe even both :!? We’ll see if I can afford it after I go shopping again this weekend and pay off some bills.

And lastly I just wanted to remind everyone that the pixel eggs will hatch April 4th!

Just want to start off this entry with some photos of my new Liz Lisa boots, which are even more amazing in person :h I’m so glad I bought them when I did – they are now sold out at Liz Lisa’s online shop and Shibuya 109 net shop and seem to be hard to find for a good price anymore.

They came brand new in their box with a duster bag and extra heel plugs in case anything happens to the heels. The bows are also detachable :ribn2

I couldn’t wait to coordinate them and so I threw together an outfit with them today :bear I’ll probably have to add a light jacket for awhile until it gets warmer.

I need a tan :pud The dress and tank top are from Vanity, the necklace and boots are from Liz Lisa and the skirt is from Sechuna. The necklace originally had a little brooch type charm on it, but I took it off. I might make a separate brooch with it later on~

Also bought some things from MAC this weekend! I decided to try out their foundation again in a different shade, since NW15 was too dark for me even though I was matched to that color. I tried out NC15 in person at the counter and it turned out to be a perfect match! :clap

Ended up buying the foundation, lipglass in Underage, a foundation pump and new #7 lashes. Mine were kind of falling apart after using them daily for awhile. I’m impressed they held up so long though! I’m thinking of ordering these lashes from Daiso next though, you get ten pairs for about $20.00 :wand

Here’s the result of my new makeup, I can already see the difference their foundation makes vs. drugstore brand foundations. It definitely has better coverage and stays put much longer.

I’ll leave this entry here since it’s getting a bit long, but tomorrow I’ll update with more new purchases and maybe another outfit :bye
